In the Studio this week
I missed posting last week things were a blur. Last week I had a great group of crafters and artisans from the east end of Ottawa, Orleans. I have been part of the group for a few years and have never been able to participate until now. Most of them knit and crochet which I do neither anymore so I worked on a diamond painting which is a surprise for someone special. I wish I had at least gotten photos of the items they were making.
Supporting the creative community is very important to me. It keeps me inspired and creative.
I got an Business Card Design request. I accepted, designed and it was board approved so submitted it to be printed and will be printed by March 27th. And so it begins. The person liked my business card and wanted something similar.
Also had a meeting with a good friend to see the kinds of activities that might bring in people to the studio, we thought a paint night for St. Patrick's Day but I also have a sale on this weekend so i abandoned that idea. Next year for that one. However there is a WOW Resin Class/workshop booked for March 25th.
Need to plan some dates and workshops... Geli Printing, Card Making, and Scrapbooking. If you can think of any others or if you are interested please contact me.
It is important to me not to charge big amounts for meeting / workshop space 60.00 per workshop 1- 1/2 hours seems pretty reasonable. I don't think is to much when most places are charging 75+ for the same time. The meeting room fits at least 8 comfortably around the tables.
What did I do this week so far well designed 2 reversible Bucket hats on in Dark and Funky and a second one in Solid purple and a pattern, a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, a mug.
