What a year...

I am hoping for a better year starting today.

My bestie and neighbor passed away suddenly. I had his key, and his boss came to me in a panic. He was found beside his bed. No will or executor. Learn from this, get prepared, have a will, and don't leave a grieving family to handle everything.

Despite her royal title, Princess the Dog wasn't feeling regal in mid-November as she requires a vet visit. Though still happy and eating, her playful spirit seemed to have been momentarily tamed, possibly due to a cat scuffle.

My hustle took a hit this year, sales dried up, bookings vanished, cash flow flatlined. Even thought the skin cancer was creeping back. Still no definite diagnosis as in Ontario your family doctor is your first stop to get a referral and she gave me an appointment in February.  With that said, I shut down the studio, rented a Pod, helped by family and friends packed up the POD, now it is parked on my driveway, and unloading bit by bit. I am now at home waiting and working out how to organize the business of my work.

Yesterday was the worst my smoke detectors kept going off. I changed the battery nope then it would long bursts then shorter and shorter then beeps.  I called a handyman exchange and got a callback almost immediately.  He came, he replaced two of my smoke detectors  - it was time they were 20 years old... I appreciated it and so did the animals.

On the good news front Daizie my 4 year old niece with Malen Syndrome is taking a few steps unaided so here is hoping that she is getting stronger.  She is doing very well at school and has an entourage following her around...

I discovered Tim Horton Hot Chocolate with peppermint

Today it is beep free and I am making plans for personal growth, business and organizing the chaos that is my life right now.. .

Happy New Year my friends lets make 2025 the best year yet despite the news surrounding us.
